Imperfections are Perfections.

Do you want to know a secret? When I am creating a piece for Chicken Kitty Designs I start with the fabric. I love searching for fabric that is cotton. I look at antique stores, online and in thrift stores. Once I pick the fabric from my collection, the creating begins. I do this by trying out fun combinations of fabric.  Then I don't measure. 

What??? I don't measure a thing. I use what I have and that determines the size. This also makes it so each piece is unique. I am not a traditional quilter. I like to think of myself as an artist. Frayed uneven pieces give it character. The edges are my favorite part. I create on some of my pieces, stacked edges. It creates texture. If I am going to make something I want it to look different. Unique. Just like people. No two are alike.
